HISTORY
Situated on the southern side of the Mpambanyoni river lies the clubhouse of the Scottburgh Surf Lifesaving Club. It was established in 1932 and has provided voluntary protection on Scottburgh Beach and rescue services to surrounding areas from Umkomaas to Sezela.

Scottburgh Surf Lifesaving Club is only one of four clubs to ever win the South African Lifesaving Championship: 1953 & 1954. Below are the men who accomplished this:
